THE JEWISH LEARNING ACADEMY



The JLA or Jewish Learning Academy serves a vital role in the LA Jewish population and connects us to our faith, our history and each other. The Jewish Learning Academy is committed to the Talmudic traditions of Judaism and providing Jews in the southland meaningful ways to grow, connect and interact with their religion. They seek to be a warm and welcoming environment that is open to all adults, regardless of their levels of observance or education level. The Jewish Learning Academy strives to bring Judaism to individuals in Los Angeles, and in the process connects Los Angeles Jews to each other and to Israel. This proud organization is dedicated to adult Jewish education and offers Hebrew classes, Kabbala, Torah study, and Shabbat programming, to name only a few.

The goal is ultimately to explore questions of faith and identity in a supportive, warm and engaging atmosphere. The classes are intelligent and meaningful and many people involved have had positive experiences with them.
