Stanley P. Gold
Stanley P. Gold is Shamrock’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Mr. Gold attended the University of California at Berkeley before transferring to the University of California at Los Angeles, where he graduated with an A.B. degree in political science.
He then attended law school at the University of Southern California, where he earned his J.D. degree in 1967, before
attending Cambridge University in England for postgraduate work.
In 1968, before going to work for the Shamrock companies, Mr. Gold joined the prominent Los Angeles law firm of Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown, Inc., as managing partner. There, he spent a number of years, focused on corporate acquisitions, sales and financing.
During his business career, in addition to his position as Shamrock’s President and Chief Executive Officer, he has held positions as President of Shamrock Broadcasting, Inc., President and then Chairman of Central Soya Company, Inc., Chairman of Enterra Corporation (NYSE/EN) and Chairman of Koor Industries Ltd. (NYSE/KOR), Chairman of Tadiran Communications, director of The Walt Disney Company (NYSE/DIS), and Ansell, Ltd (ANN/ASX).
Mr. Gold is active in a number of professional and civic organizations, and he holds, or has held, positions on the Board of Governors of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (Chairman of the Board of Governors from 1991 to 1996); the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Southern California; the USC Law Center Board of Councilors; and the USC Keck School of Medicine Board of Overseers. He lives in Beverly Hills, California, with his wife Ilene. They have two adult children, Charles and Jennifer.
