SO CAL RABBI ORGANIZATION



The Board of Rabbis of Southern California brings together more than 280 rabbis representing every stream of Jewish life: Conservative, Orthodox, Reconstructionist, and Reform. The Board promotes and enriches Jewish learning and living by sponsoring a wide range of programs for rabbis, the Jewish community, and the community at large.

Services offered to encourage e a lifelong pursuit of Jewish learning include weekly Torah commentary class that is hosted each week by a member of the Board of Rabbis. The Synagogue Leadership Institute was implemented to supply emerging synagogue leaders with the proper textual and leadership training necessary to strengthen the Jewish community.

The Board of Rabbis also pursue engagements that encourage the active repairing of the world. The board gives aid and assistance to the victims of natural disasters and supports interfaith communication. They visit with the sick and offer crisis and spiritual intervention counseling. The Board further conducts classes and services in hospitals, convalescent homes, and jails. Finally, they sponsor events that support the State of Israel.

The Board of Rabbis is an organization of dedicated Southern Californian Rabbis seeking to assist the Jewish community, their surrounding community of Southern California, and the State of Israel.
