The Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles



The Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles manages the Israeli-American affairs of all of southern California, as well as six other US states in the southwest, including Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming, and Hawaii. The consulate serves as the official office of the Israeli government in America, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The consulate’s Departments of Academic and Public Affairs work together to bring its nation’s most talented scholars and artists to America to represent an array of academic disciplines for the consulate’s Visiting Scholar’s Program, which supplements Israeli material and curriculum used in US university’s and on their campuses. The consulate also assists in arranging symposiums and speaking engagements, during which Israeli scholars forge bi-national and cultural exchanges and networks with American scholars and students.

Community Affairs
The Department of Community Affairs reaches out to communities and fosters cooperation among the multi-cultural neighborhoods of Los Angeles and other major southwestern cities.
